You may want to talk with the practitioner before your first session about what you are looking for from the work. Feel free to ask the practitioner questions about his or her bodywork experience, length of time practicing, related areas of expertise - and whatever else might be important to you. Your relationship with your practitioner is most beneficial if it is a safe, trusting one.
